a romantic escape in beautiful grounds
bright roomcomfortable roomseated area
the mansion double was bright and comfortable. a seated area offered a tv. the bathroom featured a shower. a kitchenette area provided tea and coffee.
the indoor pool and showers look tired. there was lots of hair in the pool. the showers only had cold water.

the location is convenient for exploring the east area. it allows easy access to notable places. a bus service stops at the main entrance. it goes to either a bigger city or a coastal town in 17 minutes.

the reception staff was helpful! the reservations manager greeted us upon arrival. check in was simple. the reception seems to run with the minimum staff, but they are multitasking, ensuring all areas are covered!

the grounds are fine! the architecture is excellent. usb charging points are available by the bed. free wi-fi is accessible. there is a gym, however, it's tiny and not very well equipped, not ideal.

Great Experience on the Grounds

The room, a mansion beautiful double, included comfortable bedding. The shower and toilet were clean (this is important!). The restaurant staff members were friendly. I really enjoyed the historical building. the grand entrance hall with lit fires was amazing.
The grounds were mainly golf course so there wasn't much to explore. I would have appreciated more seating.

The swimming pool was available for a quick swim (30-40 minutes). I noticed that the surrounding gardens were fine. I walked for hours. The lodge was very clean and decently equipped.
