central location, but some disappointments

the location is very central, perfect for exploring the area.

The room i stayed in was not what i expected. i found the furnishings to be worn and slightly grubby, a bit of a letdown. also, the breakfast room seemed understaffed. When i went down for a glass of wine, NO one was around to help. IT was like the staff were stretched too thin, handling multiple jobs at once.

the staff greeted me with such warmth.. it seemed like coming home. the location allowed me to wander and lose myself in the charm of the city streets. the breakfast buffet offered a good array of options, each one a small indulgence.

i did find that the street noise at night was noticeable.. it sometimes made it difficult to fall asleep quickly.

The staff were friendly and helpful all the time. The hotel location IS perfect near the main square. Our room was very clean and had excellent air conditioning which mattered a lot. They even gave us some complimentary Prosecco!

I found that coffee and milk were not automatically refreshed in the room. I had TO find a cleaner to request more. the hotel did not reply after i sent a daily email asking about satisfaction.

I had a room in their 'apartment' annex. It looked great at first. however, the noise at night was pretty bad. i could hear every footstep and furniture scrape from above. street sounds weren't blocked at all. also, they gave me two water bottles initially, but never refilled them. i paid a lot, so i kind of expected more..
