My room showed signs of wear, i noticed severely flaking paint on the bathroom ceiling. noise was also a problem. I heard noise from the corridors and doors and it disrupted my sleep. the sound insulation seemed inadequate.

The staff was very cheerful and helpful, that is true. The food tasted excellent and was beautifully presented. I like the location as it was perfect and the facilities are excellent. Rooms are nice and neat, really.

The bathroom felt a little dated. I stayed 2 nights, so I appreciated a replacement mini bottle of shower gel. The receptionist did sit down when doing check-in and check-out, I felt it was a little lazy.

the staff at reception were very friendly (i appreciate this a lot). the restaurant was also excellent. the secret garden proved a lovely place for relaxation with a drink, and i enjoyed spending some time there.

the driveway up to the front door is very steep. it was not easy to manage, particularly on a warmer day. i also found a small room at the back, after realizing there was a wedding event that day.
