Fantastic Alford Stay

central location newly decorated room friendly greeting

The location was very central making it easy to explore the village. I found the room newly decorated with a pleasant bathroom. The bar offered Bateman's beers I enjoyed after a long day. I received a very friendly greeting upon arrival and immediately felt welcome.

The corridors did have a slight fusty smell.

The double room featured crisp sheets and comfy pillows for a restful sleep. The bathroom was recently renovated with modern fixtures. Soap, shower gel, and shampoo were all provided.

The staff were very helpful. They offered cutlery and advice on local dining. Andy was especially accommodating and friendly . I felt valued as a guest .

The hotel provided great WiFi access, which allowed me to stay connected easily. A good car park was available making parking simple. The bar was well furnished plus it had a warm cute ambiance.

The hotel is situated in a lovely little village making it great for exploring. The location is also very quiet in the afternoon on Saturday. I really liked that.

the bed was comfortable. the shower worked well. the carpark was a good size. lots of takeaways were within walking distance.

the price did not match the room. the heating was on during a heat wave. there was no air conditioning in the room either.

market noise no car park information

The hotel did not inform me about the market days. i parked in the market place and market stalls were being set up around my car at 6 am. it took me 30 minutes to get my car out. I was late for a meeting. the hotel has its own car park, but no one mentioned it.
