The Kings Head enjoys a prime location in the town center, with convenient access to nearby shops and pubs. Guests appreciate the spacious rooms, some of which feature a fridge, as well as the nice, large bathrooms; room 4 even has a bath. The complimentary breakfast is often praised as both tasty and plentiful. While some guests have noted that certain bathrooms, particularly the showers in room 4, can have excessively high water pressure, many appreciate the outdoor seating area and the character of this historic building, complete with quirky revolving doors and a secure car park.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, i felt welcomed. breakfast offered a great choice of options, a real treat each morning. the location in the town center made it easy to explore. I walked everywhere i wanted.
The decor in the room felt dated. I think it could use some updating. i had some trouble with the water pressure in the shower. It was a little too strong. the stairs were a bit difficult for me, i found it hard to carry my bags.

The location was central, putting me close to shops and pubs.
The room felt quite dated. The bathroom decor seemed old, and honestly, it detracted from what could have been a better stay. The room needed updating (especially the bathroom).

The breakfast was GREAT!!! Every team member I met acted polite and friendly. The location is excellent. I enjoyed the band that played in the bar Saturday night. I really appreciated the available parking.
The pub was slightly noisy because the outside seating area is directly below the bedroom windows. I could still sleep very well.

a mixed experience

late noisedated decor
my room faced the outside seating area, and noise from the pub below went on quite late. it was hard to get to sleep before the patrons finally dispersed (around 11 pm). inside, the room also seemed a little worn. the decor felt dated, and small repairs seemed overdue, particularly in the bathroom, though the cleanliness was acceptable.
