The White Hart offers an all-day Mediterranean-inspired menu. Dishes include 'build your own' salads, vegan choices, and wood-fired pizzas made from dough proved for 48 hours. Meat and fish dishes, such as seabass with sweet potato hash and fillet steak with fries, are cooked over coals in a Josper oven. A children's menu is available. Dishes marked with GF are made with non gluten containing ingredients, and dishes marked with GFA have non gluten containing alternatives. The bar features dark wooden beams, working fireplaces, and leaded windows, providing a space for drinks. The wine selection includes pale, tangy, crisp wine from the Western end of the Loire river. A wonderful red offers a nose full of violets and strawberry and a mouthful of red fruit with a tang of sour cherry. Guests can enjoy a drink in the courtyard.

The White Hart is situated in the north of the Georgian market town of Ampthill. Mainline trains to London St Pancras run regularly from Flitwick station, which is two miles away. The White Hart is 30 km from London Luton. From the front door, a 10-minute walk climbs to the Greensand Ridge for views of the area. Nearby landmarks include Ampthill Park (0.5 km), Houghton House (0.5 km), and The Forest of Marston Vale (4.5 km). The Woburn estate features parkland with deer. The Capability Brown-designed Ampthill Park provides views across Marston Vale and a children's playground.
