Acceptable stay, some issues noted

missing phone radiator issue
The breakfast was satisfactory, it provided adequate options to start the day.
The room lacked a phone, an inconvenience when I needed to request more water. The radiator did not stay heated for very long and, short of going back down to reception, I could not adjust it. The bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, and lotion, but no shower gel or the usual amenities.

an adequate stay

autumn leaves wide variety music performance busy restaurant
The hotel grounds are lovely. i walked through the gardens and really enjoyed the autumn leaves. They were colourful. the breakfast was also good. i found a wide variety and the food seemed fresh.
The music during the evening was not enjoyable. the pianist was screeching and screaming. It was difficult to enjoy the bee gees hits. there were also some delays between courses. i think the restaurant was very busy.

outside pavilion lovely setting fine location kitchen noise distant staff basic customer service
My wedding was at the outside pavilion and it was a lovely setting. The wedding breakfast took place in the suite, a fine location. The food was AMAZING!!!
My room was above the kitchen and i heard kitchen noise and chefs shouting. I also heard bottles being smashed into bins outside. It was very loud. The staff were distant and didn't acknowledge me when checking out. There were no pleasantries or basic customer service. I expected better.

beautiful gardens fascinating walk delicious tea
The hotel gardens are gorgeous (I spent a lot of time there!). I enjoyed a fascinating walk around the arboretum. I also had delicious tea with sandwiches, little cakes, and scones.
The shower had very low pressure.
