mixed feelings about the stay

central locationdated roompoor soundproofing
the location was really good, right in the center.
The room i got, the 'standard twin room', felt quite dated and needed some serious updates. the noise from the street was constant, disturbing my sleep. The windows seemed to offer little soundproofing, frustrating.

EXCELLENT Location and AMAZING Staff

convenient bus stopcomfortable bedhash smell
The airport bus STOPPED just around the corner. It was super convenient. The bed was comfortable, and the room had an average size for a downtown hotel. Breakfast included a typical UK hotel breakfast and it was REALLY good. I ordered food from the bar one night, and it arrived in my room in under 30 minutes.
The room SMELT of hash, and it was hot. Even though the room supposedly had air conditioning, I had to get a fan. The temperature caused me to catch a cold, annoying.
Service
9/10
The staff from reception through the restaurant to the cleaning staff were GREAT, and always available for any request I had. I REALLY appreciated their professionalism.
Facilities
8/10
The hotel had facilities one could want, including tea and coffee making facilities in the room. There was luggage storage, a 24hr reception, and a lounge and bar area AVAILABLE. The location was SUPER central, near the train station.
Dining
10/10
The choices for scottish breakfast were delicious, with haggis, black pudding, and other hot options available. I found the orange juice good and staff made porridge and eggs to order. Made BREAKFAST special!
