Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Point A Hotel Edinburgh Haymarket is appreciated for its modern, clean rooms and convenient location, allowing easy walks to the city center and access to the airport via a short tram ride. The comfortable beds, controllable lights, and well-fitted bathrooms contribute to a pleasant stay. While the rooms are compact, some guests have found them to be smaller than expected. Nevertheless, its strategic position between the old and new towns, along with nearby restaurants, makes it a popular choice.

helpful staff convenient location small room bathroom door
The staff greeted me with smiles , and they were always eager to assist. the location proved convenient . Most attractions were within a comfortable walking distance , i appreciated the proximity to transportation options.
the room was noticeably small , and i found it challenging to manage luggage. i noticed the bathroom door did not close tightly , it impacted privacy in the limited space.

helpful staff easy check-in compact twin coffee facility disturbing truck inconvenient window
The staff were helpful. I had a compact twin room, it worked well for my one night. The check in process was easy too.
The room did not have tea or coffee. A laundry truck woke me at 5 AM. The truck was right outside my window and it was disturbing.

The location worked for me since it was close to the train station.
The room was small it was difficult to move around. I asked for room cleaning one day, but staff said I was checking out the next day so they would not clean it. The staff seemed unhelpful they did not resolve any issues I had.

Underwhelming Stay

small room noisy area
The location was acceptable, though the room size was not great.
The room was quite small and there was hardly any space for luggage. It felt very cramped. I found that the bathroom door did not close tightly. This lacked privacy. The lighting in the room was odd and took some getting used to, and the window looked out onto a loading area, where work started early each morning, it was very noisy.

communal spaces nice spaces breakfast quality high quality bed linen high quality room cleanliness poor cleanliness room service partial service unwashed glasses dirty glasses
the communal spaces were quite nice. i thought the breakfast was also a plus. the towels and bed linen were of a high quality.
cleanliness could have been better, they only fully service your room every few days. they call the partial service a refresh. my room provided two glasses which were never washed during my entire stay.
