Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Throstles Nest Hotel is often chosen for its great value and convenient location, with the city center accessible via a short bus ride. The family rooms are noted for being spacious, and amenities such as tea and coffee facilities are appreciated, along with Netflix and Amazon Prime on the TV. While some guests have mentioned that the property could use some modernization, its proximity to a supermarket across the street, and a commercial area with McDonald's and KFC within a 5-minute walk, is very handy.

The location was convenient with bus stops nearby. I could easily reach different parts of the area. my room had tea and coffee making facilities, a nice touch for the morning. the staff was helpful. they promptly addressed my inquiries.
The walls seemed thin. I could occasionally hear noises from adjacent rooms.

pleasant stay

helpful staff safe place spacious room reasonable price
the staff were helpful with storing my bicycle safely (i appreciated their assistance a lot). the room was quite spacious with comfortable beds and a nice bathroom. its location was convenient for accessing the canal, my main reason for choosing this place. i found the price very reasonable considering the amenities provided.
the single-glazed windows let in a bit of street noise.
Service
9/10
The staff provided assistance with bicycle storage and were generally helpful. fresh towels were available upon request, and the bins were emptied regularly (this attention to detail really stood out).
Dining
8/10
While i didn't have extensive dining experiences, a supermarket is located across the street for small conveniences. multiple dining options, like mcdo and kfc, are within a short walk. This makes quick meals easily accessible.

helpful staff comfortable bed fresh towels single-glazed windows lack of lift no coat hangers
The staff were so helpful. fresh towels arrived on request. the bed was also comfortable. We slept soundly each night.
The single-glazed windows did little to keep out the street noise, which i noticed. There was no lift to reach our room and i was a little exhausted. the room needed some modernisation too. there were no coat hangers and i had to live out of the suitcase.

Satisfactory Stay

ample space helpful staff convenient location short walk
The family room offered ample space for our needs. I found the staff helpful . The location proved quite convenient, especially considering the price. The short walk to the city center was a definite plus (about 15 minutes, I think).
The hotel could use some modernisation, especially regarding parking availability.
Dining
8/10
A supérette located just across from the location offered convenience for quick purchases, for example, beverages and snacks, and there is a commercial zone within a short walking distance that offers fast food options. I noticed KFC and McDonald's restaurants, among others, in that commercial zone.
Location
9/10
The hotel provided good placement in relation to Anfield, at approximately 30 minutes by foot, moreover, it offers convenient bus connections to the city center with only two stops, the bus stop is close to the hotel, and this ensures easy access to downtown areas.
Facilities
8/10
My room included a tea kettle with tea and coffee. This was pleasant in the morning. I was happy that the TV provided access to services like Netflix and Amazon. The simplistic style of the accommodation was appreciated.
