Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Guests consistently praise the immaculate cleanliness and tasteful decoration of the rooms at The Whalebone Arch, particularly highlighting comfortable features like the large double beds. Many appreciate the thoughtful additions, such as the mini-fridge with fresh milk, along with cutlery and plates which is very convenient for enjoying takeaways, and the generous supply of tea, coffee, and biscuits. Some guests have found the bathroom mirror to be positioned rather high; however, the hotel's proximity to the sea and provision of free parking - often described as a 'godsend' in Whitby - further enhance the appeal of this well-regarded accommodation.

free milk street parking high mirror cold room
the room was sparkling clean i have to say. the location was also really good because it was near everything. free milk and water was in the fridge it was so convenient. i also really love the street parking that was available.
the bathroom mirror was way too high i nearly couldn't see myself. the tv was high up to, part of the screen was hidden. i found some niggles i saw people note it before and nothing has change. the room got quite cold.

low shower pressure missing handrail
the room had everything i needed. the location was good but might not suit people who have walking difficulties wanting to walk into town centre although there are plenty of car parks available.
the shower pressure was quite low and the temperature did not get very hot. there was also no handrail in the shower. it made washing difficult and i was concerned about slipping.
