The Throckmorton offers small double, twin, and super king-sized rooms. Each room includes an en-suite shower room, desk, tea/coffee facilities, complimentary WiFi, and a Freeview Smart TV (32-inch or 40-inch). Family rooms feature a 40-inch Freeview flat-screen TV and tea/coffee amenities. Some rooms feature a super king-size bed and two single beds, with a private bathroom that offers a bath with shower. A child under 12 years old can be accommodated on a sofa bed at additional charge, please select triple occupancy when booking. Breakfast is included.
Dining Experience
The Throckmorton features a restaurant that serves a full Main Menu alongside Fixed Price Roast on Sundays. The menu also includes specials, and is available all day from 9am. The chefs work with fresh local produce, prepared and cooked in their kitchen. The beef is hung on the bone for a minimum of 28 days. Fresh fish and seafood is delivered 6 days a week from Caterfish and Tudor Seafoods. The deck will be order at the deck order point at the bar. Examples of dishes include: Honey/Soy Glazed Pork Belly Bites with Asian Slaw; Smoked Haddock and Spring Onion Potato Cake with Poached Egg and Hollandaise; Homemade Chicken and Ham Terrine with Crostinis and Chutney. Mains include Chicken and Mushroom Ballotine with Sauteed Potatoes, Tarragon Cream, and Vegetables; Pan Fried Seabass Fillet with Seafood Linguini and Lobster Sauce; Luxury Fish Pie with Cheddar Topped Mash and Seasonal Vegetables. Roasts such as Slow Cooked Beef, Roast Leg of Pork with Stuffing and Crackling, and Roast Turkey Breast with Stuffing are available. Poached Pear with Mango Sorbet and Raspberry Coulis is also served.
