The Swan, located in Wedmore, offers 7 en-suite bedrooms, each uniquely designed with a mix of style and vintage finds. Rooms 4 & 6 feature sleek white-painted tongue and groove paneling, large wall-mounted basins, and deep built-in baths. Room 7, a spacious loft, includes a king-size bed, a claw foot bath in the room, and a wet room with a power shower. Rooms 1, 2, & 3 have been decorated in a calm and restful palette of soft neutrals and stony grey tones punctuated with pretty textiles and traditional florals. All three large doubles have claw-foot baths and power showers in their en-suite bathrooms.
Local Cuisine
The Swan's kitchen, overseen by Executive Chef Tom Blake and Head Chef Sam Sperring-Trendl, focuses on simple, fresh food. The menu changes regularly and uses local ingredients. The pub serves hot food, snacks, and small plates all day, along with coffee, tea, and cakes. The restaurant serves simple, hearty dishes that change daily. The pub champions local produce, including ales and cider on tap, and meat, fish, fruit, vegetables, eggs, cheeses, and yogurts, all sourced from local suppliers. The pub offers gift vouchers which can be redeemed at any Stay Original hotel/restaurant.
Dining and Drinks
The Swan offers various dining settings, including a bar with a wood burner, tables out front, a restaurant, and an alfresco terrace. The pub serves great coffee and a large selection of teas, along with cakes. The bar offers local craft beers, ales, West Country ciders, a wine list, and cocktails. Happy Hour is every Thursday from 4-7pm. Sunday roasts are available from midday through to 9pm. The pub welcomes children and offers a kids' menu. Pop-up bakery of scrumptious artisan baked goodies at The Swan, every Sunday and Wednesday from 9am - 3pm.
Location and Surroundings
The Swan is located in the village of Wedmore, 25 km from Bristol. Wedmore is positioned for visiting key places in the West Country. Wells (with its famous cathedral) is 8 miles away to the east. Cheddar Gorge is only 3 miles to the north and the Somerset Levels lie just outside the village. Mendip Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty, are a few miles to the north. Highbridge & Burnham is the nearest train station, approximately 20 minutes' drive.

Stay Direct offer includes breakfast every day when booking directly with The Swan. A toilet suitable for wheelchair users is accessible via a gently sloping corridor. On arrival at The Swan drive through the arched entrance through to the car park at the back. There are two dedicated disabled parking bays.
