“This property's traditional Victorian exterior, dating back to 1895, initially caught my eye, as did its location in the heart of Oban, convenient for shopping. I found that the hotel balances its historic charm with a focus on Scottish hospitality, including dining that emphasizes locally sourced ingredients, and I think that this might be of interest to many visitors to Oban.”

Basic stay close to the harbour

affordable optionhelpful staffgood selection
This place is pretty standard. It isn't super fancy or well-kept, but it's one of the most affordable options close to the harbour. Staff are nice and helpful here. Breakfast offers a good selection for a cooked buffet. There were some continental choices available too.
Facilities

Great Experience, Wonderful Service!

comfortable bedpowerful showerplentiful supplytasty biscuit
The room offered essential amenities. The bed proved comfortable, accompanied by a good selection of pillows. The bathroom had a powerful shower. They supplied a plentiful amount of tea, coffee, and hot chocolate with tasty shortbread biscuits.
The carpets seemed a bit worn. The decor could use a small update, though it was acceptable.
Dining
9/10
I had to leave early for a work trip. I appreciated the bacon and sausage roll alongside orange juice prepared for me. The breakfast was much better this time. I enjoyed it more.
Rooms
8/10
The room was clean. It offered ample space for luggage and movement, though, it had simple decor. The bed linen was fresh and the towels were fluffy. I found the room quiet, nice for peaceful sleep.
