The breakfast was fine (i ate everything).

I stayed several nights. Wifi was unreliable in my room. The tv remote was hard to use. The signal kept cutting out. I could hear noise from a nearby train line.

I found the secure parking for bikes quite helpful, giving me peace of mind. the breakfasts were amazing. I particularly enjoyed the scrambled egg with smoked salmon. my room felt spacious. It was exactly what i needed after long days.

the tv remote was inside a plastic bag, a little tricky to use.

My room included a modern bathroom. This detail added to my overall comfort. the room felt very private. No other guest rooms directly abutted mine. mature tree cover outside provided additional privacy from distant neighbors, a lovely touch.

The hotel is near a pub where i enjoyed a good meal. the guest house is close to oxenholme train station. This made it easy to travel without driving. windermere and the lake district are also nearby, offering beautiful scenery.

Pauline and bill were lovely hosts! the room was superb. It had everything i needed for a comfortable stay. i especially adored the tea service provided in the room, a thoughtful touch. jasper, the cute puppy, was an added bonus i completely adored.

The owners were so cute, i reminded me of i was visiting friends. They offered a warm and heartfelt reception. attention to detail was apparent in every interaction, such as helpfulness with parking.

i had a weekend away, and wanted somewhere quiet. it was close enough to a larger town. the owners was really nice people and good parking exist. i enjoyed a spacious room with a lovely bed.

the tv signal would come and go sometimes. i doubt this is to do with position of the tv, though. the tv remote was also a challenge to operate i think.

Adequate, but Some Issues Noted

poor wifitrain noise

The WiFi signal was virtually nonexistent in my room. This made planning my day trips difficult. Breakfast felt a bit rushed due to the limited one-hour window. I also found the train noise rather disruptive, especially during the early morning. The TV remote covered in a plastic bag was odd. It was a strange experience.

The location is excellent, a short walk from oxenholme station. i had plenty of parking spaces (always a plus!). the room was a decent size and very clean. breakfast was tasty. Everything was freshly cooked.

the tv remote was inside a plastic bag and operating it was not easy.
