Rooms at Rothay House
Rothay House features individually decorated rooms. Each room includes a TV with DVD player, USB charging points, Pure Lakes liquid hand soap pump, hair/body wash, and tea/coffee making facilities. One ground-floor room has a bath and walk-in shower. Another room has a 32-inch TV. Some rooms overlook Loughrigg and St-Marys church and a front garden. A twin/king-size or family room (max 4 persons) with en-suite with shower & bath is available. Non-allergy bedding and daily housekeeping is provided. A 3rd Room has a shower cubicle step 10cms, inside space 3ft 4ins wide by 5ft long appox. Toilet is 45cms high and Hand basin 84cms.
Breakfast and Dining
Breakfast is served in the dining room on the first floor from 8:15 AM to 9:15 AM Monday to Friday, and 8:15 AM to 9:30 AM Saturday and Sunday. Early breakfast is available on request. Rothay House is close to restaurants, pubs, and inns serving various cuisines.
Leisure and Activities
Rothay House is located in the English Lake District National Park, near Lake Windermere. Guests can visit Bridge House over Stock Ghyll, Hayes Gardenworld, and the Steamboat Museum. Scenic walks are available in the surrounding countryside. The sometimes near vertical Kirkstone Pass leads to Lake Ullswater. Open top bus routes to Keswick and Bowness-on-Windermere & Kendal are nearby.
