The Dragon Hotel offers a range of rooms, including One Deluxe Room, Four Premium/Family Rooms (larger in size), Three Superior Rooms (a little smaller than Premium Rooms), Five Classic Doubles/Twins, Four Small Doubles/Twins (many with exposed beams), and Three Single Rooms. Room rates include breakfast. Twin and double rooms are a mix of twins and doubles. Extra beds are available for some rooms to accommodate children for an additional £20 per night, including breakfast. All bedrooms are en-suite; Premium Rooms have both baths and showers, while other rooms have either baths or showers. All rooms feature a TV and tea and coffee making facilities. Dogs are welcome in certain rooms (excluding Premium or Superior rooms, and the Bistro dining room) for £10 per night (£15 for two dogs).
Dining: Local Produce
Guests can dine at the hotel's restaurant, which serves local produce. The Bistro has a reputation for food in the area, offering à la carte options with Mediterranean flavors, including meat, fish, salads, and vegetarian dishes. Lunchtime options include baguettes, salads, and omelets. The hotel bar is open daily from 12:00 PM, serving a wide selection of wines and spirits, including whiskies and gins, craft ales on tap, bottled beers and cans, ciders, and San Miguel lager. Breakfast is served in the restaurant between 8:00 AM and 9:30 AM. Lunch and dinner are served from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM and again from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Packed lunches are available for £5.95, including a sandwich (Ham & Tomato, Cheese & Tomato, or Tuna & Mayonnaise), biscuits, crisps or chocolate, and a bottle of water.
Leisure: Swimming Pool
The hotel features a swimming pool housed in a separate wooden building at the rear of the property. The pool measures 30 feet long, 15 feet across, and 4 feet deep. Separate male and female changing rooms with showers are available. The pool is heated to between 26 and 30 degrees. Use of the pool is free for guests and is generally open daily between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM and again from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM for exclusive hourly slots.
Location: Historic Town
The Dragon Hotel is located in Montgomery, 85 km from Chester Hawarden. The hotel is located in the heart of Mid Wales countryside and is close to the 18th-century Town Hall, which stands at the top of the main street. Montgomery Castle is a short walk away. Montgomery Trails are available as printed leaflets in the hotel. A small market is held in the Town Hall every Thursday and Saturday.

The Dragon Hotel offers a same-day laundry service, with an iron and board available upon request. Secure parking is provided in the hotel car park, accessed via Kerry Street. Secure cycle storage is also available. The hotel caters to walking and cycling groups. The hotel can host small ceremonies, including weddings and civil ceremonies, in the Den, which can accommodate up to 40 people, or in the bar conservatory area (Mondays to Thursdays). The Bistro dining room can cater for up to 50 guests, and the adjacent Town Hall can accommodate up to 120 guests. Guests are asked to familiarize themselves with the location of the nearest fire exit. Fire Assembly Points are located in the car park at the back of the hotel and behind the Town Hall in front of the hotel. The hotel's location for emergency services is Market Square, Montgomery SY15 6RA. Guests may use the showers in the swimming pool as an alternative due to occasional restrictions in water pressure. A charge of £100 will be applied for smoking in the building. The outer doors of the hotel are locked from 11 PM.
