LOVED the location!

country seat friendly staff free parking spacious room
I appreciated the traditionally decorated venue with a country seat feel. The taxidermy in the lounge was very interesting with a great bar open until 2am, so i took full advantage! Staff members were VERY attentive and friendly to any needs.
The windows had a layer of grime that slightly obstructed the otherwise beautiful view. I think a regular cleaning schedule would make a big difference.
Rooms
9/10
The room was spacious with a good sized bathroom. IT included a decent sized kettle for making tea. The king-size bed provided a comfy sleeping experience, and i had great nights. The smart tv was modern and a good size, great.
Location
10/10
The hotel boasts a FANTASTIC location near the train station and main shopping area. I could walk to various attractions and restaurants, made exploring easy! This quiet corner also made for a relaxing getaway, a great choice.
Dining
8/10
The hotel does not serve breakfast, but they recommended several places to go. Many bars and restaurants are within walking distance, so i had lots of choice! The 24-hour bar was also a great addition to my stay.
Service
10/10
The staff was attentive and helpful, providing assistance with any requests. They offered recommendations for local spots and ensured a pleasant stay. I REALLY appreciated that. Their friendly demeanor, so good!

Acceptable, but overpriced lodging

lack of air conditioning seagull noise
The location was acceptable. It served its purpose.
My room was TOO hot and lacked air conditioning. The windows barely opened, and I endured constant noise from seagulls all night long. Sleep eluded me. The parking situation was also frustrating as I was told the hotel parking was full, though several spaces looked to be available.

The location near the train station was acceptable.
I booked a suite with balcony but I essentially got a large room with a balcony. The room I actually booked was next door and unmade. I also arrived to be told there was no breakfast.

Balanced stay with a few drawbacks

spacious room hot water on-site parking dirty window poor tea little privacy
The room was spacious with plenty of hot water. Water pressure was powerful. On-site parking was convenient. The hotel was lovely and warm .
The bedroom windows were dirty. The choice of tea in the room was poor. I found little privacy from the outside street when the curtains were open.
