Dining at Shieldaig
The hotel serves a full Scottish breakfast. The Liberator Bar offers a selection of every Scottish whisky produced since 1945 and samples of the world's oldest cask whisky, at 70 years old. The estate provides rare-breed lamb and beef from its highland cattle herd, along with Loch-fresh langoustine, squat lobster, and hand-dived scallops. There is also a shellfish tasting menu featuring five courses paired with wine. There are options to book packed lunches and picnics. Dining options include a 3-course dinner, or a tasting menu with wine pairing. A light lunch is served daily. The restaurant offers views of Shieldaig Bay.
Leisure and Activities
Shieldaig Lodge is set within a 26-acre estate and is a base for hill walking, deer stalking, and fishing. Guests can engage in beach picnics, croquet, falconry, and fly-fishing lessons. Mountain biking is available over the landscapes of Wester Ross or around Glen Torridon. Day trips from Gairloch include whale-watching expeditions and boat trips to the Shiant Islands. The lodge provides gin tastings and a snooker room. Additionally, there's an amphibious all-terrain vehicle available for use.

Shieldaig Lodge is part of a 26,000-acre estate on the west coast of the Scottish Highlands, overlooking the shores of Gairloch. Nearby landmarks include Gairloch Museum (4.5 km), Fionn Loch (3 km), and Beinn Alligin (4.5 km). The sea water of Gairloch ripples onto the seaweed-strewn beach that fronts the lodge. Guests can explore nearby Munros and the so-called Fairy Lochs. The Applecross Drive is available to explore. Victoria Falls are 3 km away.
