no follow up poor customer service

the location was convenient enough, i guess. at least some dining was nearby.

i stayed in march. i emailed about concerns. i was told someone would follow up about my concerns, which never happened. customer service is clearly not a priority at this hotel. no one even bothered to send an email.

The breakfast buffet presented a huge selection with top quality items. the staff were always friendly and helpful, even during busy times. I appreciated their attention.

mixed feelings about my stay

The hotel seemed quite old. the rooms and amenities cannot compete with other 5-star hotels (a bit disappointing, really). the majority of the staff seemed uninspired or overworked. it's not what i expected from a supposed luxury stay.

Excellent Stay

friendly staff helpful staff amazing stay

Staff are friendly. They are also professional. Akshat Sharma, one of the front desk managers, were super helpful. He personally followed up with the hotel team to accommodate our request about changes to our reservation at the hotel. We will go back to Shangri La in other cities.

Service were slow during breakfast. No one took empty plates from the table. Coffee is of bad quality.

The staff were helpful with taxis. They provided early check-in after a long flight. The doormen offered prompt assistance, as our pre-arranged airport transfer was not there. The team's service was flawless.

The hotel location is good. It is on a busy road but close to the usual attractions. A local metro is nearby. It is close to Downtown and Sheikh Zayed Road, so it is easy to explore the city.

I had a picture-perfect room. The room was gorgeous. The hotel prepared two sets of chocolate cakes in the room for my birthday. I did not request this. It was nice.

Fantastic stay! A MUST return

kind driver warm welcome great breakfast

The hotel sent us a nurse when our baby felt warm. SHE checked the temperature to assure us. The shuttle driver Hanif proved kind. HE recommended a great city driver. Nikhil and company served great breakfast and afternoon tea in the business lounge on the 41st floor. THEY handled allergies to eggs and nuts.

THE room is aging. It needs refurbishment. The bedroom had a cigarette smoke smell. Management handled it quickly but could not resolve it. I think that refurbishment is necessary.

THE hotel IS near the mall. I FOUND the area convenient. IT IS easy to access shopping and dining destinations. Transportation options ARE abundant for exploring different areas. This supports various travel plans.
