slow service water shortage

the breakfast view met my expectations. it WAS scenic.

the room service was terribly slow. i ordered a club sandwich at 14:00, it arrived only at 15:15. also, turndown service did not replenish the water bottles automatically, and i had to request that. this is unacceptable.

great hospitality canal location convenient proximity

all hotel restaurants were great. the canal location offers nice walks. the staff provided great hospitality and demonstrated professionalism, so i'll definitely return. the hotel's proximity to the mall and the airport proved convenient.

the constant traffic created noise, even with double glazing. i should have complained to get an upgrade. it was disappointing for a dorchester collection hotel.

the horizon room included fresh fruit and bottled water. the room size is standard. a double sink, a walk in rain shower and all amenities were available. the bed was comfortable.

notable valet delay small bottles

the valet service acted like it was optional to actually park my car. i waited, and waited, and waited while they chatted amongst themselves. eventually, i had to ask them to, you know, do their job, that created a notable valet delay. also, the complimentary toiletries were far too small. i practically needed a magnifying glass to read the labels that indicates small bottles.

inconsistent experience

problematic check-in poor service

the food was good.

the check-in was problematic, beginning with issues regarding the room keys. i was told i had to come downstairs to finalize the process (at 14:50). i found this unusual for a hotel of this supposed caliber (i expected better service).
