the hotel has a central location on the high street. it is easy to reach the captain cook monument by car. the locking of doors at night and the alarm system felt a little odd though.

The room grew excessively hot, rendering temperature regulation impossible. I had to sleep with the window open. This resulted in considerable noise intrusion.

The breakfast had fantastic quality. The food in the restaurant tasted delicious, especially with the half-price offer. The bed felt quite comfy. The room included a kettle, tea, coffee, and water. All the provided items met my needs.
The noise from the bar after hours kept me awake past midnight.

late noisepoor mattress
The noise was a thing. i could hear everything from the bar till after 12.30 am. it kept me awake for quite a while. After that, i'm not sure what time they stopped. also, the mattress was not great. I could feel the springs.

adequate stay with some drawbacks

the noise was a significant issue. i could hear a lot of activity from the bar until late (past midnight). this made it difficult to sleep. the room also felt quite warm, and adjusting the temperature proved impossible. i had to leave the window open, but , made the noise problem worse.
