Wonderful Relaxation and Excellent Service

My stay included access to a great spa with very relaxing facials. I also loved dining in the Maxwell restaurant. The chicken curry was really good (I recommend it!). The walks on the hotel grounds offered further relaxation and allowed me to de-stress. The spaciousness of the room contributed to a very comfortable experience.
The breakfast service starting at 8 am seems more driven by financial concerns. An earlier start could better accommodate guests' schedules and preferences. I found this inconvenient since I prefer an earlier breakfast when travelling.

The spa has a large relaxation area. The gym includes three treadmills and two stationary bikes. Forest walks are accessible directly from the hotel, extending several kilometers.

Reception staff offered to book a taxi to town for dinner. Monica in the bar was particularly lovely and provided attentive service. Staff promptly addressed room issues, exceeding customer service expectations.

Breakfast service started far too late. 8Am is unacceptable for a hotel of this supposed calibre. parking proved to be an ordeal and frankly not what i expect for the rate charged. finding a space in that poorly lit car park was irritating and then traipsing to the minibus collection point in the rain was not good enough. Surely covered walkways are not beyond the realm of possibility? these issues marred the stay considerably.

the staff made dinner reservations for us, and they were very helpful, i thought that was acceptable.
Our room lacked air conditioning. It was unbearably hot. a small table fan did little to alleviate the heat. i likely won't return during the summer until they install air conditioning in the rooms, it was that bad. I am very disappointed.
