Location and Access
The Banff Ptarmigan Inn is within walking distance of downtown. Nearby landmarks include the Buffalo Nations Luxton Museum (1 km), Banff Avenue (0.3 km), Saint Mary's Parish Banff (0.3 km), and the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity (1.5 km). The Historic Luxton Home Museum, St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Bourgeau Lake, the Canadian Ski Museum West, and the Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies are all within 0.5 km. The Elk + Avenue is next door and is also a stop for the Route 1 public bus toward Sulphur Mountain. The free shuttle to the Banff Gondola and Upper Hot Springs picks up outside the Elk + Avenue, which is right next door. Express service from the Calgary International Airport to Banff is available with Brewster Banff Airport Express.
