Guests often appreciate the spacious and comfortable junior suites at Northcote, particularly those in the garden block with private access to the lovely outdoor space. The bathrooms are superb, and thoughtful touches like fresh milk in the fridge are frequently mentioned. The location is convenient, with easy access to Clitheroe and opportunities for walks along the River Ribble, though some guests have found the temperature control in the rooms challenging at times. Many consider it a perfect venue for special occasions due to the exceptional gourmet experience, including the exquisite granola and full English breakfast.

Underwhelming Michelin Experience

overcooked halibut pungent sauce
I recently dined here, but I came away quite frustrated. The squab pigeon was tough to cut due to sinew. My halibut was overcooked and saturated in an overwhelmingly pungent parsley sauce. The server only apologized that I didn't like it (no offer to rectify the issue).

beautiful double room separate shower stocked minibar outdated air conditioning basic toiletries weak wifi
i stayed in a beautiful double room and it was spacious. the bathroom had both a bathtub and a separate shower. the room also featured a well-stocked minibar (i enjoyed the local snacks).
the room's air conditioning system seemed a bit outdated. i struggled to maintain a consistently cool temperature. the complimentary toiletries were basic (i expected a higher quality). the wifi signal was weak in certain areas of the room.
