the dining room overlooked the water. the beer garden also has water views. our room, oakham, had a good view over the beer garden. it also had a view of the water through the patio doors. the bed was comfy and i slept very well. the bathroom was great!!! breakfast was excellent and had lots of choice.
wallpaper was missing to the right of the headboard. the heater was hanging off the wall and not working very well. there was no mirror for my wife to get ready. the sink taps were plumbed incorrectly. the decoration on the wall and ceiling was very poor.

the room was comfortable. the shower worked well.
i found the handling of car charging facilities very poor. night staff knew nothing about it. the charging point seemed completely dead, so i had to charge the car elsewhere. the hotel needs to provide information about using it!!!
the hotel location was perfect, just so close to the lake. plenty of free parking spaces were available. the staff were very polite and helpful to me.
the wifi was awful, going on and off a lot. the room was dated and felt a little unloved. there was no central heating in the bedroom, just electric heaters on the wall.
