I found the building fine. It had such charm. The location allowed easy walks to the village. Staff were friendly and catered to my needs. The Castle View Double Room was perfect.
The bathroom lacked sufficient shelf space for toiletries. It was a minor inconvenience.

historic charm with modern comforts

friendly team clean room cosy atmosphere historical details
the team members were friendly and very helpful. i booked a twin room as a solo traveler and found it very clean. the room felt cosy and the toiletries provided were nice (i especially liked the lavender scent). i enjoyed the historical details described in the room folder.
the window overlooked the car park, so i heard some staff arriving early.

Relaxing Stay with Excellent Service

helpful staff delicious meal
The staff provided assistance. They offered to change our room. A plumber replaced the toilet cistern the next day. The evening meal was delicious.
I could not adjust the shower temperature in the bathroom. It was stuck on hot. I had to stand away and wash in stages. I couldn't alternate between the hand-held and overhead shower.

a romantic stay

faultless service castle view warm room cosy rooms
the restaurant offered faultless service. every member of staff were very good. room four featured a separate lounge with views of the castle. rooms were wonderfully warm and cosy.
our room was away from the main building, across a gravel courtyard. this made it a little difficult to access.
