The Mercure Oxford Hawkwell House consists of three buildings, including two 19th-century manor houses, set within three acres of mature private grounds and lawns. It is a relaxing 25-minute walk along the famed riverside Thames Path National Trail (700 yards from the hotel) to the city centre and train station or a 10-minute bus ride from the bus stop directly outside the hotel entrance. The hotel is in Iffley Village, which combines meadows and the River Thames with the convenience of the city center and well-known for its historic Norman Church dating back to the 12th century.
