the breakfast buffet provided a large selection of vegetarian options. the room included an attached office area, very useful. the housekeeping staff were very attentive and friendly. i particularly enjoyed the rooftop pool area with its views over the bay.
i booked two rooms, clearly stating two adults in one room and three in the other. they insisted that two rooms were booked for only two adults. the room i received felt smaller than what i had booked through the website.

the location across from the bay was acceptable for morning walks.
The room i got smelled strongly of smoke. it was supposedly a non-smoking room, so this was disappointing. also, the front desk staff seemed distracted. I waited several minutes while they took a call during my bill payment.

The shoe shine service I expected was unavailable. The staff told me they don't provide it.. I found this INCONVENIENT for a hotel of this supposed caliber. It's a small detail, but these details MATTER.
