The Loch Leven Hotel offers a great location close to Glen Coe, with some rooms providing spacious accommodations and lake views. Many guests appreciate the authentic bar and find the breakfast satisfying, particularly the big mugs for tea and coffee. While the hotel is generally well-regarded, some have found the rooms to be a bit tired. The hotel is also a convenient 25-minute drive from the Ben Nevis car park.

disappointing experience

dusty roommouldy shower
my stay wasn't the best. the small double room i had felt dusty. the bathroom shower showed mould on the tiles. i asked for the fan and shower to be cleaned, but this request was ignored. it just seemed like the high room rate didn't match the stained hallway carpet and potholes in the car park.

Decent location. Some drawbacks

friendly staffcramped podblocked drain
the staff were friendly. the location was convenient for exploring glencoe.
the pod i stayed in felt very cramped. the shower and toilet combination was basically a wet room, it had a musty smell because of a blocked drain. hot water wasn't working for two days.

the staff was very friendly. i found whisky recommendation helpful. the food in the restaurant was great at dinner and breakfast. i liked big mugs for tea and coffee.
i found windows dusty. the bath had some yellow stains. the shower also had some black marks. this require some attention.
Rooms

the standard twin room includes comfortable beds and nice view. the room contains unnecessary bits, that catch the dust. the room has electric cords that could be tidied up.
Dining

the hotel offers a full scottish breakfast. the bar area has warm ambiance. i saw the dining room has beautiful views, but it was so chatty that i didn't feel comfortable.
Facilities

the hotel features a pier beside it. there is also a path that goes to the lochs. i didn't spot a lift, so i had to use the stairs for my luggage.

Fantastic Stay with Great Food

amazing staffwelcome giftbuffet breakfastcozy lounge
The staff were amazing. Paul and Nick were especially cute. They provided great assistance and ensured our stay was wonderful. There was a lovely welcome gift in the room as well as tea, coffee, and cookies. Breakfast offered both buffet and cooked-to-order options. The lounge areas were cozy and comfortable.
The room interiors could benefit from some updating.
Rooms

My Standard Double Room featured a comfortable bed and blackout curtains for restful sleep, though, the space was a bit compact. The provided toiletries included shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, offering convenience for travelers wanting to pack light.
Location

The hotel offered amazing views of the surrounding landscape. It was nice. I could see the loch and mountains directly from the dining room and rooms.
