“Set against the dramatic backdrop of loch and mountains, the location feels hard to fault, especially given the engaging evening entertainment and bar happy hour; the communal dining might be particularly welcome for coach travellers. I think the rustic charm throughout lends a distinctly Scottish feel, even if some areas are a little tired. Still, for an outdoorsy base near Ben Nevis, it could work well.”

Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
The Croit Anna Hotel is often praised for its convenient location near Fort William and its views, with some rooms offering breathtaking vistas of the loch, visible right from the bed. Guests appreciate the inclusion of tea and coffee making facilities and USB charging points in the rooms, as well as the good-sized wardrobes, with some even mentioning nice little fridges. While some guests have noted that the Wi-Fi signal can be patchy and works best in the bar or lounge, many find the overall experience to be good value for money, especially considering the easy access to Glencoe.

Acceptable Stay with Notable Shortcomings

friendly staffdated hotelpaper-thin walls
The staff was friendly. The bar offered views across the loch.
The hotel felt very dated. My room had paper-thin walls. I could hear the occupants talking loudly next door until late at night.
