Langdale Chase offers individually designed rooms and suites in the Main House, Lake House, and Boathouse, many with views of Lake Windermere and private gardens. Main House rooms feature Hypnos mattresses, and Bath House soaks. Lake House rooms, a short walk from the main building, include private balconies. Fell-view rooms in the Main House feature comfortable beds and marble bathrooms with Bath House toiletries, lotions, and soaks. The Boathouse sits directly above the lake, featuring a private entrance, terrace, jetty, and beach access.
Dining with Lake Views
The AA Rosette-winning restaurant at Langdale Chase features panoramic lake views and serves a table d'hote dinner menu. Executive Chef Michael Cole creates distinctive dishes inspired by the Lake District, using Herdwick lamb, local fish, shellfish, and artisan cheeses. A five-course dinner is available, complemented by wine pairings. The Lakeview restaurant offers dishes prepared by in-house chefs. Sunday Lunch features traditional flavors and views. Classic dishes like New England lobster rolls and the 1807 Burger are available. Afternoon Tea includes artisanal sandwiches, homemade Cumberland sausage rolls, and scones served with homemade jam and clotted cream.
Leisure and Activities
Langdale Chase offers kayaking and paddleboarding sessions on Lake Windermere. Guests can swim in the lake, with extra towels available at reception. Guided walking experiences with local expert Steve Watts MBE are available. Guests may cruise on Windermere in the 1928 wooden motor yacht, Albatros. A selection of films are available in the Cinema Room with popcorn, sweets, and ice cream. Clay pigeon shooting is offered at Graythwaite Estate. Garden tours are available, showcasing the work of designer Thomas Mawson.

Langdale Chase is located on the shores of Windermere, near Ambleside and Bowness. Carlisle Lake District Airport is 80 km away. The hotel grounds feature a stone bridge over a beck and a long stone terrace overlooking gardens. The hotel is near Merewood (0.5 km), Jesus Church (2.5 km), and Bridge House (3 km).
