superb stay at a charming place

king bed restaurant food nice ambiance

the room featured a king size bed. it was heaven! the restaurant food impressed me. both dinner and breakfast were fresh and of good quality. the bar area maintained a nice ambiance.

i noticed that the room floor was very uneven.

Breakfast was decent. Ingredients of a high quality were included.

The toilet made loud noises. I took a shower, but no hot water came out. I spoke to staff but they did not offer a discount.

great bed perfect steak ingredient quality

The room had a great size double bed. the food was superb both nights. the sirloin steak was cooked perfectly. The quality of the ingredients really showed.

Stair access to the rooms was very poor. It could be considered dangerous particularly when carrying luggage.

Solid Hotel with Friendly Staff

The room included a large bed and great pillows. Breakfast was plentiful with a full English. The restaurant and bar were busy which I saw as a good sign. All staff were friendly there.

The steep stairs to the second floor might be a challenge. There is no lift so luggage must be carried. The building's age means sound proofing is limited and noise travels.
