a lovely stay

large roomwell-equipped roomprompt servicefriendly welcome
I was very pleased with my room. It was large and well equipped. the breakfast service was prompt, with food cooked to order, so it tasted fresh. i found the welcome friendly, and interactions with the owners were nice. the location was convenient for accessing local amenities (it was just a short walk to the beach).
the shower had limited water pressure, making it slightly difficult to rinse thoroughly (it was a minor issue, but noticeable).
Facilities

the hotel provides convenient parking, so i did not have trouble finding a space. the honesty box for snacks and drinks at reception was a thoughtful touch. a designated area allows dogs to stretch their legs (a nice feature for pet owners).

The staff sorted my parking permit quickly upon my arrival. I did not have to ask for it.
I booked a room last minute and there was a strong musty smell. It was also mixed with dog and old cigarettes and cooking oil odors.

polite hoststicky remotedirty bathroom
the host were polite, i guess, but that don't make up for everything else.
the room reeked. it smelled like wet dog and old cigarettes. the tv was tiny, and the remote was sticky, like i'm gonna catch something from touching it. i think the bathroom hadn't seen bleach in a while.
