historic charm and great service
beautiful setting friendly staff delicious food
the hotel's setting is beautiful the surrounding grounds are perfect for exploring. the staff were always friendly and ready to help with any request. i particularly enjoyed the food everything tasted fresh and delicious. i had a restful time
the lighting in the bathroom was not adequate for applying makeup it was a little too dim

The grounds seemed well kept. I'll give them that.
the breakfast was a letdown. the hot food sat out and tasted cold. i found the lack of fresh options a bit much.

many walks complementary entrance itallienite garden
the grounds offered many walks. there was complimentary entrance to ickworth house and gardens. the room had fine views over the itallienite garden.
the bar staff sometimes refused to make cocktails that were not listed on the menu, even though the menu said to ask if you want something not listed.

friendly staff fine views prompt service
The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Our 'Beautiful Room' offered Fine views. I especially appreciated the prompt service when we needed a fridge for medication. It was in minutes. The spa treatments were sublime, so we returned for more sessions.

unsure waitresses inefficient handling
The waitresses seemed unsure of their duties. I observed them wandering aimlessly. They also looked unable to handle customer requests efficiently. I found this particularly frustrating during the busy lunch service.
