The breakfast was freshly cooked. It was not left on trays for self-service. The service was good and staff were very helpful, also very pleasant. I loved the sea views, especially in the breakfast room.

I attended a funeral tea in November 2024 and felt disappointed with the sandwiches and scones. They were presented beautifully though they seemed stale. I think they may have been made earlier and left uncovered so the air could harden the bread.
