Really good Islay Experience

cute staff convenient door delicious food great atmosphere

The staff was cute upon arrival, promptly showing us to our room and explaining the facilities. A convenient back door allowed easy dog walks. The restaurant provided comfortable seating, excellent service, and delicious food. The bar also had a great atmosphere, an extensive drink selection, and live music.

The carpet had some slight stains, though the room was otherwise immaculate.

lovely islay experience

high maintenance whisky selection scottish breakfast

i found the hotel perfectly situated. it provided beautiful views right from my room. the cleanliness and high standard of maintenance really stood out. the bar offered a wide selection of whisky. i also enjoyed the full scottish breakfast each morning.

warm welcome unique options great flavor

Lorna and her team provided warm welcomes on several occasions. The manager displayed true hospitality. The menu offered many unique options, and all dishes had great flavor. I found the experiences to be good on each day.

The room blinds fit poorly so some light woke me early.

The hotel is in a cute village not far from Bruichladdich. My room offered fine views. It overlooked the village with a nice window where you could sit. It is far from the relatively bustling Bowmore.

My stay had some issues. I was assigned a room with two single beds, despite reserving a double. Staff indicated they assumed I was traveling with someone. I found that puzzling. The room had some maintenance issues. The shower temperature was inconsistent. the noise from the nearby road was noticeable even late at night.
