the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. i also appreciated the hotel being near the centre of town, this made it easy for travel by bus. i enjoyed the convenience to the town hall event.

i found the restaurant food only average. the fish and chips now include frozen chips. the fish batter was crisp but quite greasy. i think the prices are quite high for average food.

the bed was very comfortable and the room had good appointments. the front desk staff were both friendly and efficient. the restaurant had some great menu options and a well stocked bar (over 700 malts!). i appreciated the lovely flowers on the grounds.

a couple of bits of the wallpaper were slightly adrift in my room. it was nothing major, but noticeable.

the restaurant serves a full dinner menu with a variety of items. the bar offers an extensive selection of whiskies, ales, wines, and other liquors. the breakfast was relaxed and provided good preparation for the day.

the hotel has a well stocked whisky bar with very clear prices. the building has a traditional style and is well preserved. there is a lovely garden where guests can enjoy a drink (i did!).

the staff in the bar and restaurant were very friendly and provided excellent service. the service at reception was friendly and helpful. i found the staff to be very approachable throughout my stay.
