The Acorn Hotel is often praised for its convenient location, a short walk to the CCA on Sauchiehall Street, the OVO Hydro, and the Kelvingrove museum, making it easy to explore Glasgow's West End and city center. Guests frequently mention the clean and comfortable rooms, often describing them as having great facilities, with comfortable beds and good showers. Solid Stay Near City Center

hot chocolatestorage spacesound proofing
I appreciated the availability of tea, coffee, biscuit, and hot chocolate in my room. It was convenient to have a hairdryer and straighteners provided in the bedroom. The room also featured ample storage space, helpful for longer stays. Overnight parking was available nearby, though it was cash only.
The soundproofing in my room wasn't great. I could easily hear other guests through the walls, including snoring and coughing during the night. This made sleeping difficult and interrupted my rest.
Dining
8/10
While I did not have breakfast at the hotel, it smelled quite good! There was to be an option to book breakfast. A family-run eatery is located next door. It is a good alternative.
Rooms
9/10
My room included nice tea and coffee facilities, complete with biscuits and hot chocolate. A hairdryer and straighteners were also available in the bedroom. These are good amenities. There was lots of storage space available in my twin room.
Facilities
8/10
The hotel offers parking overnight at a nearby location. It is a useful service. I noted, however, that the parking facility only accepts cash payments. I was able to walk easily to the city centre.
Location
9/10
The hotel is ideally located for exploring the West End. It is a short walk into the centre of the city, with all of its pubs and shops. The hotel is located in a quiet residential area.
Service
9/10
The staff were helpful. They provided recommendations for local restaurants. A host I met at the reception was polite. Staff worked very hard and provided a friendly service. I had a very pleasant stay.

the location was convenient for exploring. the room had a good size desk and sufficient lighting. i found the provided toiletries to be adequate. the heating system worked efficiently, maintaining a consistent room temperature.
