Charming Stay Near the Abbey

central location hot water

The hotel is centrally located. EVERYTHING was within walking distance. My room was large and offered plenty of space, furthermore the bed was very comfortable. I also had lots of hot water. Parking was free. The hotel staff was both efficient and friendly. ALL of this contributed to an enjoyable experience.

The bedside lights WERE NOT fixed . I observed that the shower head leaked. Water dripped EVERYWHERE. This was definitely an inconvenience.

The pub and hotel staff worked well TOGETHER. They were friendly and helpful. Craig greeted me warmly upon arrival and went out of his way to get me an ironing board and iron, showing a positive attitude.

the thursday steak special included a drink and tasted great. it was cooked as i requested. i found the bar staff provided great service (dave was particularly helpful).

the staff members were very helpful. the hotel location is central to the town and shops. kirsty and craig specifically.).

the room i stayed in felt very cramped. there wasn't much space to move around the right side of the bed. i think couples might find it a bit challenging.

i had a very good cooked breakfast. there was a good choice of large meals and smaller pub snacks available. the beer selection was also quite good and i found the atmosphere enjoyable.

the room featured coffee, tea and a good tv. the large bedroom had a large comfortable bed. the ensuite included a bath with a shower overhead. the room overlooked a narrow street.
