The onsen was a delight. Its roof protected us from the rain, yet I enjoyed the gardens. The dinner and breakfast buffet has wide variety that everyone can enjoy. Our room came as western style with a low bed and tatami futon. You setup as you like. I noticed many amenities in the room. There were shampoo, conditioner, soaps, toothbrush. snacks.

The hotel it is a bit far from the station, needing a bus to get there.

the buffet dinner and breakfast were acceptable. the hot spring was also quite good.

i found the service alarmingly unhelpful (especially considering the price). i have coeliac disease and require a gluten-free diet. the staff refused to provide a simple bowl for instant gluten-free ramen i had brought. they instead directed me to the gift shop, it only had potato chips and pistachios.

the onsen offered fantastic experiences, particularly the outdoor bath. i saw mount fuji from the onsen, i was charmed by the views! the bus from odawara station was convenient, a short trip to the hotel.

The hotel suggested a rocky snowy walk to the bus stop. I had damaged luggage because of it. the food was just okay with many lukewarm items

The onsen had the best view of Mt. Fuji I saw. I was lucky.

The hotel charged extra for a late check out. They also offered coffee in the lobby for limited hours then charged otherwise. For the price, I think they should include these things.
