Activities and Scenery
Guests can walk, cycle, or fish around the hotel. The Coillte Forest Park offers walks for all levels. Gougane Barra Lake stretches for one mile along the valley floor and is bounded by mountains on all sides except the east. Waterfalls appear all over the mountainsides during rain. Guests can visit St Finbarr's Oratory and Cells on a tiny island in the lake, reached by a short causeway. Take a stroll along the River Lee, which rises in the mountains above Gougane Barra, or amble among the trees. Rowing boats are available for use on the brown trout lake.
