dull decor water stains
The staff was Really good and very cute.
I booked a "double room", but it was NOT worth the price. The decor was dull with no color. I also found water stains on the wallpaper above the dressing table mirror.

weak water pressure dated shower
The staff seemed alright. The grounds looked quite decent.
The room I got was very dated. The shower was especially disappointing. The water pressure was weak. I expected more for what I paid.
the ground floor room was very comfortable and met all my needs. staff addressed my questions with efficiency and professionalism. both dinner and breakfast were excellent. the hotel's setting is beautiful, which initially attracted me. i will continue to stay here whenever i am near edinburgh (it is so much better than the city itself!).

the hotel grounds feature well kept gardens, a quiet space ideal for relaxed walks (i found several benches to sit and relax). the surrounding area offers nice views, a highlight for the landscape and nature lovers.

the hotel has free wifi and parking . there are several function rooms for events, a library (it is not actually a library, it has fake book case wallpaper!). a reception area.

spacious room comfortable bed
i found the double room very spacious i also appreciated the comfortable bed it really ensured a good night's sleep. the breakfast was included it had a very excellent selection of options on the menu.
