Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Galgorm is frequently praised for providing exceptional getaways, especially in the cosy shepherd's huts which are equipped with complimentary mini-bars and even bath bombs for the outdoor bathtub. The thermal village and spa facilities, nestled among Galgorm woodland beside the river, are a highlight for many, with a wide array of hot tubs, vitality pools, saunas, and steam rooms. While some guests have occasionally found the spa area crowded, others have thoroughly enjoyed the spacious Oaks residence for group stays, complete with jacuzzis, pool tables, and saunas.

charming cabin escape

helpful staff great space flexible timings great meal
I was very charmed by the breakfast. The staff proved helpful, and the selection felt very abundant. our log cabin provided a great space for a group. we ate a fab meal at gillies one evening. the timings for breakfast were very flexible. I found it great.
The mini bar was appreciated, but it did feel limited. i'd have loved more variety..

satisfactory stay

great space relaxing break breakfast conservatory table service conservatory delight tasty breakfast dirty carpets broken roller blind ripped seating
i stayed in a two bedroom cottage. it had great space with everything one could ask for in a relaxing break. breakfast in the conservatory was a delight.. plenty was on offer and brought to the table.
the charles manor accommodation had plenty of space, but it definitely needs a revamp. i noticed dirty carpets and a broken roller blind under the bed. ripped seating was in the kitchen area, also the bin under the kitchen sink was not emptied and full of pizza hot tub things. these issues indicate that replacements are needed, especially given the cost. it is not 5 star in any way.

fantastic stay in a good cottage

fine residence thorough tour total hit
I appreciated the fine red oaks residence for our group stay. helen greeted us and gave us a thorough tour. The pictures really do not capture the space well! the jacuzzi was a total hit with everyone. we also enjoyed playing pool and using the sauna.
the resort felt a little crowded during peak hours, particularly in the spa area.
Dining
9/10
Gorgeous cocktails are available at the bar, and the breakfast is amazing with everything catered for. I enjoyed a lovely variety, however some items were a bit slow to replenish!
Rooms
9/10
Our beautiful room was spacious and perfect. It had many amenities, even a cute little bath bomb! the red oaks residence offered ample space. The photos did not convey the spaciousness, though i did notice some minor wear in the furnishings.
Service

every staff member spoke in such a friendly tone and manner. orla in reception provided an upgrade, so i am grateful. the staff really do go above and beyond, however communication at the front desk was occasionally slow, mainly during check-in rushes.
Facilities
9/10
The spa is relaxing and clean. I found it wonderful. we used the bus to get to breakfast in the main hotel. It was convenient. the spa offers great options, though the towel card system seemed a little unnecessary.

Fantastic Stay in a Great Hotel

friendly staff amazing service very nice spa positive experience
The Shepherds Hut was great. Staff were friendly and the service was AMAZING!!! There are many activities available. The spa offers an very nice experience. I hope to return. I later stayed in the hotel, and the experience remained consistently positive.
The cost of both drinks and food seemed somewhat elevated, but i did not consider this a significant problem.
Service

The staff displayed really good courtesy and attentiveness, responding promptly to requests. They delivered perfect service throughout my stay. I greatly appreciated their assistance. Everyone was efficient.
