About the Hotel
Rooms and Suites
Daydream Island Resort & Living Reef has 240 rooms and suites, each with views of tropical gardens or the Whitsundays. Room options include Resort Rooms with king or two queen beds, Superior Rooms with poolside, pool view, or ocean view options, and Deluxe Ocean Terrace rooms with king beds and terraces. The Deluxe Serenity Twin rooms have two queen-sized beds. Suites range from Serenity Suites with views of Lovers Cove to Vista Suites with views of the Whitsundays. Amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi, bar fridge, air conditioning, lounge area, desk, and a selection of free movies. Select rooms add espresso coffee machines, spa baths, and interconnecting options for families. Accessible rooms have wider doorways to the bedroom and bathroom.
Dining and Bars
The resort has three restaurants and three bars. Graze Interactive Dining serves fresh local produce and international dishes with live cooking stations. Infinity Restaurant offers Asian-fusion cuisine. Salti Restaurant is open for lunch. Barefoot Bar is an outdoor bar. Barefoot Bar is a swim-up bar in the pool area. Tidal Lounge is a private dining room with an outdoor terrace that accommodates up to 40 people. The property offers two private dining rooms accommodating up to 13 people each or 26 people combined.
Leisure and Activities
Daydream Island Resort & Living Reef features the Living Reef, a 200-meter coral lagoon with over 100 species of marine life. Guests can visit the underwater observatory and the education center with eight living displays. Activities include reef ranger programs, guided snorkel and night tours, fish feedings, rainforest walks, beach sports, scavenger hunts, arts and crafts, and movies. Other facilities include swimming pools, coral beaches, a gym, and non-motorized water activities such as kayaking and paddleboarding. The Daydream Spa offers treatments, including the Oasis signature experience with caviar sugar smoother and lime caviar massage.
Location & Transportation
Daydream Island Resort & Living Reef is located in the Whitsunday Islands, in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef. Boat transfers to Daydream Island are provided by Cruise Whitsundays from Port of Airlie. The Whitsundays are serviced by two domestic airports: Great Barrier Reef Airport on Hamilton Island and Whitsundays Coast Airport on the mainland at Proserpine. The resort is 10 km from Hayman Island Resort Seaplane Base. Nearby landmarks include Coral Beach and the Beak (5.5 km), North Molle Island (2.5 km), and Lovers Cove (0.3 km).
