helpful staff river location delicious meals tranquil backdrop
the hotel location allowed me to visit my brother easily. the staff provided helpful service throughout my visit. i liked the meals, we relished every bite. the location by the river offered a tranquil backdrop.
the room had a slight cigarette odor in the corridor. i found that bothersome

The reception staff offered quick and helpful assistance at all times. Dawn, antonia, tracey, and sunil made the evening meal really good. the breakfast service was efficient with great quality food, a detail i greatly appreciated. it was a charming experience

the standard double room included a comfortable bed and the room was quite big. the health suite, with a sauna, was included and remained quiet during my sunday morning visit. everything was clean, and i liked the decor.

Acceptable Stay but Room for Improvement

I was not thrilled with the room service. It took nearly an hour for my order to arrive, and the food was lukewarm. The phone in my room also did not work. I had to go to the front desk to request service, defeating the purpose of having it available in the room. I found this very inconvenient.

Really good Stay by the River

beautiful location easy access warm pool relaxing sauna
The location is beautiful right on the Thames path. It offers easy access to the train station. The pool was warm and of a good length. The steam room and sauna were relaxing after a day of travel.
I found that parking incurred a fee per night which was unexpected given the overall cost of the stay.

Breakfast included many choices for all tastes. I especially enjoyed the fresh fruit selection and hot items. The restaurant catered well to both meat eaters and vegetarians with diverse options.

My room was quiet. The bed was large and comfortable. I found tea and coffee making facilities. I appreciated the available fridge for storing drinks and snacks .

locker malfunction security issue
the staff was helpful and friendly, a detail i appreciated.
i found the spa disappointing because i couldn't lock the lockers in the changing rooms, a security issue that needs addressing (this was a real concern). someone had gone through my pockets, unsettling.
