Makeney Hall Hotel is often praised for its spacious rooms, some even described as enormous suites, like the Strutt suite featuring a lounge with a sofa bed, a large bedroom, and a bathroom with both a shower and bath; some rooms even include a sauna. Guests frequently enjoy the afternoon tea, appreciating the attention to detail and the scenic views of the garden from the dining area's arched windows. uncared areaintrusive noise
The courtyard area where my room was located felt quite neglected. it was dark and lacked proper upkeep. the room itself had an old-fashioned key lock, and the decor felt bland and worn. a major issue was the noise from a nearby road. It was quite intrusive. also, the lack of air conditioning meant i had to open the windows, causing flies to enter the room.

Kate at reception provided great service. It was acceptable.
The room decor was drab and tired. I didn't find it inviting. The ceiling had water marks? the shower wasn't clean. Water didn't drain properly.
