Excellent Stay!

modern styleinformal receptiontea roommissing elevator
My daughter's wedding was nearby. About thirty guests from overseas stayed here with us. We booked Beech Double Rooms. The rooms had a modern style. I liked the room features. Two parties were at the Evergreen Tea Room. We also had an informal reception at the Verdure Lounge Bar.
There was no elevator in the older part of the hotel. It was a bit difficult to manage luggage without assistance.
Dining
9/10
Breakfast offered good variety. Many choices were available. Dishes were presented nicely. Servers were attentive. They remembered guest orders.
Facilities
8/10
The hotel has a spa with treatment rooms. There is also a swimming pool available. The grounds are fine and beautiful. A natural reserve is nearby.
Rooms

Our room included bottled water and a coffee machine. White Stuff toiletries were provided in the clean bathroom. A kettle was in the room. Beds were comfortable.

mixed feelings on this stay

big roomrude staffold room
the hive room was big, i will give them that.
the staff here, oh my god, were they rude. we booked the georgian room, but when we got there through self-check-in, they gave us some other, old room. the guy at the front desk kept saying, 'it's a lovely room, sir. ' like i am blind or something. after arguing for what seemed like forever, he finally gave us the room i already paid for, said it was a 'free upgrade.

The main bar area felt a bit bland compared to the rest of the hotel.
