noise level sagging mattress

The noise level was a problem. Sounds from the bar and people coming and going made it difficult to sleep. The fire door on the stairwell seemed to amplify the sounds. It desperately needed to be closed. I also found the mattress uncomfortable and old. It sagged so much that I had to prop myself up with pillows.

I found the staff cute and helpful. customer service was great there. the food was excellent with a lovely bar supper. i particularly enjoyed the great full scottish breakfast. check-in was very straightforward. The staff were friendly.

unclean room constant running

The check-in process felt unprofessional. The person at reception had a vape on the counter (I thought this was a health hazard). Our room seemed unclean and the bed seemed like it might break. the toilet sounded like it was constantly running, really annoying. I also got a parking fine three months later despite registering the car, apparently if you leave the car park at any point, they void the permit!
