Broadoaks is 85 km from Carlisle Lake District, near Lake Windermere. From the M6, take A591 to Windermere/Ambleside, then follow signs for Troutbeck Youth Hostel. Windermere train station is a 5-minute taxi ride away, reachable via Oxenholme and Preston. Nearby landmarks include Orrest Head (4.5 km), White Cross Bay (1.5 km), and St Mary's Church (2.5 km).
